The Blackdown Hills Steel Bands were formed over fifteen years ago when a group of local people got together to play their first tentative notes on the beautifully resonant steel drums.

 

Since then we have gone from strength to strength and we now have an adult and childrens' steel bands and a samba band.

 

The mellow sounds and gentle rhythms of our music create the perfect atmosphere and you can hire our steel bands to play at your event -  parties, weddings, carnivals, fetes, etc.

 

We can also give workshops at events, schools, etc.
